December in France is cold but beautifully atmospheric — and part of what makes the season so magical. In Alsace, temperatures typically range from 32°F to 41°F, with crisp frosty mornings, occasional snowfall, and the kind of winter air that makes a warm glass of Glühwein or Alsatian wine taste even better. Paris is similarly cold, ranging from 37°F to 46°F, grey and atmospheric with the city glowing under festive lights. We recommend packing warm layers, a good coat, and comfortable walking shoes — and leaving the rest to us.
